Dickies was founded in Texas in 1922 by William Dickies. The brand started as a small company dealing in overalls, but has now become a workwear brand with a large share of the global market. It has already become a staple brand in the fashion scene, and the 874 is synonymous with work chinos. Everyone has probably worn them at least once.
The Eisenhower Jacket is a work jacket from Dickies' domestic line. This short jacket features a swing-top-like collar and an original brass zipper closure at the front. It features a pen pocket on the left arm and a spacious slash pocket at the stomach. Made from wrinkle- and stain-resistant T/C twill, the panels are sewn securely with a triple needle for a durable construction that can withstand heavy wear. The single-ply construction makes it easy to layer and suitable for three seasons. The design is inspired by a jacket developed by U.S. General Dwight D. Eisenhower during World War II, and the model name is said to be derived from that.
