The KingKORG NEO features a virtual analog sound engine, XMT (eXpanded Modeling Technology), allowing for easy creation of powerful sounds. It faithfully models classic analog and well-known synthesizer filters. Equipped with a vocoder that transforms inputted voice into robotic sounds, it offers a channel vocoder with 16 bands, formant shift, and formant hold functions. The arpeggiator supports up to 8 steps with various modes including UP, DOWN, ALT1, ALT2, RANDOM, and TRIGGER. It includes 300 programs (200 presets) across 8 categories, with a user-friendly interface featuring a 16x2 OLED display for main parameters and a 128x64 OLED for oscillator and filter settings. The input/output options include a balanced XLR microphone input (+5 dBu max), unbalanced 6.3mm TS audio output (+5 dBu max, impedance over 10 kΩ), and a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack (60 mW + 60 mW @ 33Ω). It has MIDI IN/OUT, USB B port, and a DC 12V power adapter input. Power consumption is 9W. Dimensions are 565 x 338 x 92 mm, and it weighs 3.1 kg. Included accessories are an AC adapter, microphone with windscreen. The synthesizer offers 8 categories of preset programs, including SYNTH, LEAD, and BASS, with many new programs added to keep up with evolving music trends. Its layout is organized into blocks for easy editing, following the signal flow concept of analog synthesizers, enhanced with modern technology for improved usability.
