Product Introduction
The second-generation Subaru Impreza debuted in 2000.
The WRX STi, the most powerful model designed to compete in the WRC (World Rally Championship), continued to be available from the first generation. In 2002, the WRX STi underwent a minor change, significantly altering the exterior and evolving into the Applied C, nicknamed "Tear-Eyed."
The WRX STi, designed by Subaru Tecnica International (STi), adopted an isochronic exhaust manifold.
In 2005, a further minor change resulted in the Applied F, nicknamed "Hawk-Eyed." This long-running model was sold until a full redesign in 2007.
A new model has been released for the second-generation Impreza, the TLV-NEO.
In addition to a silver body color, the top-grade WRX STi is equipped with optional forged 17-inch aluminum wheels.
