Sensor Sensitivity Adjustment:
1. Counterclockwise increases sensitivity; Clockwise decreases sensitivity.
2. The sensor can sense human hands, so it is recommended to install the sensor in a fixed position for adjustment to avoid human hands being within the sensing range.
Measurement Output Voltage:
1. The sensor outputs NPN normally open output, when no load is connected and only a multimeter is used for measurement, the high level value is virtual and has no practical significance.
2. The sensor should be connected to a load of less than 0.2A (indicator light, small relay, pull up resistor, optocoupler, etc.) to measure the output end with a multimeter, data is only valid at this time.
High Level Issues When Connecting to Microcontroller or PLC:
For example, a sensor that supplies 12V power needs to be connected to a 5V microcontroller, the positive pole of 12V should be connected to brown line, the negative pole of 12V should be connected to blue line, the black line should be connected to 10K resistor, when the voltage is pulled up to 5V, the black line is at a high low voltage level of 5V.
Use of Sensor Mode Line White Line:
1. The white line is the mode line, controlling the sensor output high and low levels inversion, default is white wire floating.
2. Please note that misconnecting the white line with the brown or black line may cause damage to the sensor!
Example: Connect 12V positive to sensor brown, 12V negative to sensor blue, sensor black to relay coil, and 12V positive to the other end of relay coil.
White Line Floating: With water, sensor light on, internal NPN transistor conductive, black line low level, relay closed
White Line Floating: No water, sensor light off, internal NPN transistor non conductive, black line high level, relay disconnected
White Wire Connected to Blue Wire: With water, sensor light on, internal NPN transistor non conductive, black line high level, relay disconnected
White Wire Connected to Blue Wire: No water, sensor light off, internal NPN transistor conductive, black line low level, relay closed
