Product Introduction
This Gozen-zabuton cushion is recommended for those preparing for Obon or those who have recently purchased a new Buddhist altar. It comes in a gift case, making it the perfect gift. The outer fabric is finished using a technique called Meseki weaving, resulting in a soft texture. It is made from domestically grown (Kyushu) rush grass. Each stalk is thick, with a thick outer skin and fine fibers, making it resilient and durable. Rush grass naturally purifies the air and regulates humidity. It is also stain-resistant, turning golden with use and developing a unique character. The rush grass is treated with Aomori cypress (antibacterial and deodorizing properties).
