This teddy bear is made from precious baby alpaca wool. I was told when I purchased it that it was from Peru. Each one is handmade by a craftsman, so no two have the same face or body shape.

Baby alpaca is a precious material that can only be harvested once, by combing the soft wool from baby alpacas under three months old. This wool is similar to fine, soft cashmere, but has a durable texture and is highly regarded for its warmth and insulation.
