Featuring many unused photos!
This latest issue in the comprehensive Japanese tour series features Led Zeppelin's two tours of Japan!
We've unearthed a file of black-and-white negatives from Led Zeppelin's first visit to Japan (September 1971) and their return the following year (October 1972), long buried in our basement! Among them are many unused shots with no traces of printing. You'll also be thrilled by the freshness of the shots juxtaposed before and after familiar shots already in circulation.
In addition to these rare black-and-white photographs, we've generously included color photos from both years to create the long-awaited ZEP edition of our "Live Tour in Japan" series!
The September 1971 Japan performance in particular was the height of their career as a live band, with all members at the peak of their form, and it was a tour in which Led Zeppelin delivered a truly legendary performance. Fans around the world became aware of the tour through bootlegs, and the Japanese audiences who were able to experience it firsthand continue to be the envy of ZEP enthusiasts overseas. These historic photos convey the excitement of that era to the present day...a must-see and must-read for rock fans!
