Amazon Review
As you'd expect from Yasukuni Terashima, whose music selections are often subjectively opinionated, many lesser-known artists feature on this compilation. However, the content is focused on classic jazz and jazz vocals, making it a recommended compilation for all jazz fans. Additionally, many artists are unavailable in Japan, making this a must-have album for both beginners and enthusiasts. While Terashima's music is subjectively opinionated, the jazz he loves is fundamentally characterized by its appealing melodies and song. While the jazz on this album varies in intensity, it reflects his unique taste and is all accessible. Starting with a chanson by Jackie Byard, the charming vocals of Australian singer Janet Seidel, the dynamic piano trio of the little-known Gil Ekimian, and the elegant performance of a simple Polish acoustic trio—each is deeply enjoyable.
