Kaiyodo of the Valley of the Wind Takeya Style Jizai Okimono Approximately 150mm Tall PVC ABS Painted Movable Figure Nausicaä (Douki Hei) (II)

The Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind series of Takeya-style free-standing ornaments, following the Torumekian Armored Soldier and Toriuma, features soldiers who fight on the front lines of the powerful multi-ethnic nation of the Dork Confederation of Princely States, which in the original comics has power rivaling that of the Kingdom of Torumekia. They are skilled in guerrilla warfare such as night raids, and are highly regarded by Kushana in the story as excellent warriors. Its appearance, with its ethnic mask-like helmet and miasma mask, gives a sense of its unique culture and style. The Takeya Style Jizai Okimono's design, which combines indigenous ethnic styles with processing techniques inherited from advanced ancient civilizations, has been arranged by Takayuki Takeya, who analyzed the original comics and color illustrations by Hayao Miyazaki. Yukio Fujioka was in charge of sculpting the figure. The color scheme is subdued, but bold reds and blues are used to emphasize the ethnic feel. At first glance, it's hard to tell whether the figure is fictional or real, and Takeya's sense of arrangement is highly compatible with the worldview of "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind." This figure of a Toki soldier has a strong presence that conveys that even though they are ordinary soldiers, each and every one of them is a living human being.
