Audio-Technica has developed new ear tips not only to further improve sound quality and provide a better fit for true wireless earphones but also to reduce fatigue and prevent the ear tips from falling out during use. These ear tips feature the world's first* use of the Absorptmar® material, which is soft and conforms to the skin. It adapts to the shape of each ear, even between the left and right ears, and changes according to your body temperature for a secure fit.
The Absorptmar material, which is gentle and soft on the skin, is adopted as an ear tip material for the first time in the world. It deforms according to your body temperature to match the shape of your ear canal. By reducing unnecessary rebound force, it minimizes pressure and discomfort, making it ideal for long-term use during music and video listening, telework, and commuting, reducing fatigue and pain caused by prolonged wear.
The properties of Absorptmar suppress unwanted vibrations, preventing excess reverberation. This results in clear, well-defined high frequencies and tight, powerful bass.
The ear tips have a moderately moist texture that is easy to wear comfortably on the skin. When fitting the ear tips, they naturally settle into place, and the main body of the earphone is securely held, reducing the risk of falling out or losing the ear tips, even with completely wireless earphones that are prone to dropping or losing.
In collaboration with Mitsui Chemicals Inc., a Japanese material manufacturer, these ear tips are planned and produced in Japan.
